Terms & Conditions

Welcome to HireSetu ("HireSetu", "we", "us", "our"), an online job platform operated out of Surat, Gujarat, India, connecting job seekers with employers. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hiresetu.online (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this eligibility requirement.

2. Account Registration & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Each individual or company may maintain only one active account per role (Job Seeker or Employer), unless we approve otherwise in writing.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@hiresetu.online if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false, misleading, or impersonated information.

3. Job Seekers

  • Job Seekers may create a profile, upload a resume, and apply to job listings free of cost, now and always. HireSetu does not and will never charge job seekers any fee to register, browse, or apply for jobs.
  • You agree to provide accurate information in your profile and resume, and to keep it reasonably up to date.
  • Applying to a job does not guarantee an interview, offer, or any outcome. HireSetu is an intermediary platform and is not a party to any employment relationship between you and an Employer.

4. Employers

  • Employers must complete our onboarding and verification process, including submission of a valid registration/identity document (e.g. GST certificate, incorporation certificate, or equivalent proof of business), before posting jobs.
  • Employers agree to post only genuine, currently open positions, with accurate job descriptions, compensation ranges, and company information.
  • Employers must not use the Platform to advertise: pyramid schemes, unpaid/commission-only roles disguised as salaried jobs, roles requiring candidates to pay a fee or "security deposit," or any activity unlawful in India.
  • Employers are solely responsible for complying with applicable Indian labour laws (including equal opportunity, minimum wage, and anti-discrimination laws) in their hiring practices.
  • Fees: Job Seeker access is free forever. Employer access is currently free during our launch phase. We may introduce fees or paid plans for Employers in the future; if we do, we will give reasonable advance notice, and any such fees will be governed by terms published at that time. We do not currently charge Employers anything.

5. Content Moderation & Verification

  • All Employer accounts and job listings are subject to review before appearing live on the Platform. Job Seeker profiles may also be reviewed.
  • We may reject, suspend, close, or remove any account, job listing, or profile that violates these Terms, our Trust & Safety policy, or applicable law. Where we take such action, we will provide a reason to the affected user through the Platform.
  • We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to review content before or after publication.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, fraudulent, or misleading job listings or profile information;
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Platform other than through our published, permitted means (see llms.txt/robots.txt for AI/automated access terms);
  • Use the Platform to harass, discriminate against, or defraud any other user;
  • Attempt to circumvent our verification, security, or rate-limiting mechanisms;
  • Impersonate HireSetu, any Employer, or any other user;
  • Solicit or demand payment from Job Seekers in connection with a job listed on the Platform.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its design, logo, and underlying software are owned by HireSetu. Content you submit (profiles, resumes, job listings, company descriptions) remains yours, but by submitting it you grant HireSetu a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Platform (for example, showing your job listing to Job Seekers, or your profile to Employers you apply to).

8. Disclaimers

  • HireSetu is an intermediary connecting Job Seekers and Employers. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings or profiles, the conduct of any user, or any employment outcome.
  • While we verify Employers before allowing them to post jobs, this verification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of that Employer's legitimacy in every respect. See our Fraud Alert page for how to protect yourself.
  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HireSetu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, or from the conduct of any Employer or Job Seeker.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with reasons communicated to you where we take such action. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Grievance Officer for HireSetu is:

We will acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days, as required by law.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Surat, Gujarat shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
